The Leicester Mercury Business awards will return to the region in 2018 with local businesses set to go head to head in a whole host of categories. The annual awards celebrate the good and the great of Leicestershire’s business community and provides an opportunity to reward them for their outstanding contribution to their respective industries. Companies of all sizes and from a range of different sectors are acknowledged and as well as getting their hands on one of the coveted awards, finalists will be able to enjoy stunning food and drink throughout the evening.

- Excellence in Manufacturing Award

- Professional Services Award
- Retail Business of the Year
- Sustainability Award (New for 2018)
- Contribution to the Community Award
- Not for Profit Organisation Award
The winner of these awards will be determined by the category sponsors whose job it is to decide upon the final shortlist. The event will take place at Leicester’s Maher Centre on 12 April where guests will be able to come together for the glittering black-tie ceremony.
Finalists will be welcomed with a Champagne reception upon arrival before tucking into a sumptuous three course meal. This year, the awards will be supported by luxury lifestyle publication Aspirational Magazine. The bi-annual magazine covers topics including beauty, health and lifestyle, business and finance, it’s a man’s world, home, house and garden and social and networking. Providing a wide range of high-quality features, the magazine appeals to high-net worth individuals throughout the East Midlands.

As well as providing a place to acknowledge the business success of people in Leicester, the awards also offer a vital fundraising opportunity. Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People care for people who are suffering with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. As well as this they provide support for families of these children. A whole host of fundraising activities will take place at the awards with all money raised going to Rainbows.
