The Leicester Mercury Business Awards may have only just launched, but some of the region’s brightest and most prestigious businesses have already confirmed their sponsorship of the event.
SFB Group is one of these businesses and have put their name to the Excellence in Innovation award this year.
A category which acknowledges big strides in any industry and celebrates those that have brought something new to their area, entrants will be judged by representatives from SFB Group and it will be down to them to select the three finalists and eventual winner.
Shelley Harvey is the Director of SFB Group and said:
“At SFB Group, we identify innovative solutions for our clients and continually find new ways to improve the client experience which is why we felt the innovation award was the perfect choice for SFB Group!
“We recognise the need for innovation across all businesses. We are regularly amazed by our clients’ forward-thinking and ingenuity and want to celebrate companies who work hard to find innovative solutions through product design or improving business process and customer satisfaction.
“Judging the awards will be a fantastic experience and it will be great to see the diverse range of innovation from within our local business community.”
The firm, which was established in 1955, has in recent years welcomed significant growth with the incorporation of well-respected Leicester firm, Hayles, and expansion into complementary services including Corporate Finance, Tax Advisory and Wealth Management.
SFB Group are committed to the growth and development of the Leicester office and continue to support the local business community, as Shelley explained:
“SFB is proud to be part of Leicestershire’s business community and supports a number of local initiatives. We have cultivated links with many charities and work closely with numerous local organisations and groups including De Montfort University, with whom we run a successful work experience and employment partnership.
“We have also developed an Info2Grow event in partnership with organisations such as HSBC and Howes Percival Solicitors. Info2Grow helps businesses to share ideas, information and best practice for the good of the local economy and wellbeing of businesses.”
As well as being an event which praises the biggest achievements of Leicester’s business community, and celebrates their dedication to the local economy, the Leicester Mercury Business Awards also gives sponsors the opportunity to share and showcase their own business goals.
Shelley gave insight into the coming 12 months at SFB Group:
“Our key focus for the coming year is to help our clients and business contacts achieve their goals! We have committed to a comprehensive support programme to help Leicestershire businesses at all stages of their business journey.
“We will be running campaigns addressing Making Tax Digital, as well as taking part in events and expos across the region to help local businesses to prosper and grow.”
