Pall-Ex sponsorship puts local firm in pole position at Leicester Mercury Business Awards

Award-winning logistics firm Pall-Ex is sharing the secrets to its success by sponsoring an accolade at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards, which takes place at the Maher Centre on Thursday 11th April.

The logistics giant, which promotes the importance of teamwork throughout its operation, is supporting the Leadership Team of the Year category, lending its expertise to the judging process and presenting the award on the night.

Pall-Ex is a renowned local name, operating a nationwide network of over 90 hauliers from a central hub located in Ellistown, Leicestershire.

The firm has become the leading palletised freight distribution service in the UK over the last 20 years and drove away with the Customer Care Award at the 2018 Motor Transport Awards – the Oscars of the logistics industry.

Kevin Buchanan, Group managing director at Pall-Ex, explains the reasoning behind its new relationship with the Leicester Mercury Business Awards.

“As a business based in the heart of the Midlands, we are committed to supporting the local community and encouraging collaboration and teamwork across all industries.

“We truly recognise the value of co-operation in business success, having won the coveted Motor Transport Award for Team of the Year more than once.”

Forging new business links throughout Europe is key to the company’s continued success and growth, with Pall-Ex members and service-users valued as equal partners and a vital part of the team that keeps its network on the move.

Pall-Ex provides a vital service for businesses across the country, helping local firms operate on a national level, but is also a big supporter of local initiatives.

Kevin adds: “Pall-Ex provides a range of local, national and international palletised freight solutions to a variety of different businesses throughout the region.

“We also sponsor a range of associations, events and charities including Coalville Town Football Club, Rainbows Hospice, Age UK’s Big Bag Challenge campaign and Marlene Reid Centre’s Easter Egg Appeal.

“Pall-Ex also partners with a range of local businesses for their PR, promotional items, vehicles, fuel and staff training.”
